Boston’s Favorite Food

Boston is well known for having some of the best food around. One of the most popular dishes is the New England Clam Chowder. It is a classic chowder that is both rich and creamy. Virtually every restaurant has their own version of it to offer and most families also have recipes that have been passed down from ancestors that used it many years ago. There are several variations of the original clam chowder.

Clam Chowder Options

Beyond the original clam chowder which uses clams, onions, flour, and white potatoes.  There is also a version of it that uses sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes. However, because sea food is such a popular food type around Boston, you may also find a seafood chowder, haddock chowder, Irish fish chowder, crayfish chowder, cod chowder, shellfish chowders, and much more. The truth is; in every part of the world there are different chowder types. Some people even enjoy a vegetable chowder.

If you like the clams, but want to skip the chowder; you can do this by enjoying beer steamed clams as well as grilled clams. Pasta with clam sauce is always a favorite food along the coast. Clam stuffed mushrooms, no cream chowder, a clam spread, and clam fritters are always a popular choice.
