Bacon Placemat
(via instructables)
trebuchet03, a member of instructables has posted step by step instructions on how to make a woven bacon placemat.
I’ll save you the suspense:
- Step 1: Get bacon
- Step 2: Weave bacon
- Step 3: Bake bacon
Nonetheless, it is a fantastic idea, and a great way to maybe serve a heaping pile of scrambled eggs for a breakfast gathering.

This is, quite possibly, the best use of bacon I have ever seen!

Seriously. This got me thinking of starting something like baconcrafts.com: 101 craft ideas involving bacon for the entire family!
I could see some very intricate weaving techniques with different types of bacon to make beautiful woven bacon tapestries!

This blends my two loves: bacon and textile art! It’s amazing.

I’m so glad we got picked up on the knitting board. I would go crazy if one of you guys made some mittens out of bacon strips. That would be amazing.
Ooo, maybe a bacon sweater, for those cold hungry nights.
