Yom Kippur–the Jewish day of atonement. The Jewish people have essentially have streamlined a year of Catholic confession into a single day, which involves prayer, self-reflection, and a day of fasting until sundown.  This is a solemn day in which you are supposed to truly find ways to better yourself.

However, when Yom Kippur ends at sundown on Monday September 28, it’s time to eat–and eat we shall!

Members of the Tribe and food-lovers of all backgrounds, please join me at The Food Monkey’s Fourth Annual Godzilla Burger Yom Kippur Break-Fast at the famous Eagles Deli and Restaurant in Cleveland Circle by tackling the amazing Godzilla Burger.

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO EVERYONE!

The Godzilla Burger is 1lb of burger, 1lb of fries, and a hell of a lot of glory for only $9.50. This can be had with or without cheese or bacon for those who require it. There was a time when finishing the Godzilla Burger would garner you a picture on the wall, but unfortunately, Eagles is under new management that made the poor decision to take down all the pictures from the wall (including one of me from high school) and up the requirement to 2lbs of burger and 2lbs of fries. It is, however, still a hell of a lot of burger for 10 bucks.

The Plan:
Meet at Eagles Deli and Restaurant at 6:00PM (Sunset is officially 5:47PM) on Monday September 28, for burgers, friends, and fun.

Eagles is located at 1918 Beacon St. in Brighton MA, right in the heart of Cleveland Circle.
